They're parameters of what is comfortable and when.[Phoebe] Makes soft swap swinging, like opening a Christmas present for the first time.[Phoebe] You know, the one you didn't open and re-wrap.[Phoebe] So we met this couple.[Phoebe] So we met a couple, Mr and Mrs. Real.[Phoebe] We are going to call them.[Phoebe] And we met them at a house party in our area many months ago.[Phoebe] Three or four months ago.[Unknown] They're soft swap couple.[Phoebe] And Mrs. Real is by.[Phoebe] So when we met them at this party, it was towards the end of the evening.[Phoebe] And I recall that we were on our way out.[Phoebe] Like the evening was done.[Phoebe] We were ready to go home.[Unknown] Yeah, we were probably getting emotional.[Phoebe] We're moving that direction towards the door.[Phoebe] Yeah.[Phoebe] When, as I recall, I was stopped by the gorgeous Mrs. Real.[Phoebe] And there was an electricity happening.[Phoebe] And we started making out.[Phoebe] And then all of a Yeah.[Ed] And that's when we, of course, found bad news.[Ed] Yeah.[Ed] And it was nice to see him again and see that he was doing okay.[Unknown] Everything was, you know?[Unknown] Yeah.[Ed] Yeah.[Ed] Okay with him.[Ed] And I used okay because…[Phoebe] He was okay, but you could tell he was…[Unknown] He was hurt.[Phoebe] Yeah.[Phoebe] He was suffering.[Phoebe] So.[Phoebe] But, you know.[Phoebe] He was putting a good, good base forward, right?[Phoebe] Right.[Phoebe] And then…[Guest] So…[Guest] Done.[Guest] Done.[Guest] She's back.[Guest] Oh my God.[Guest] She's back.[Guest] Oh my God.[Guest] She's back.[Guest] We were like, what?[Guest] What happened?[Guest] Really?[Guest] Okay.[Guest] Let's get together.[Ed] So this was the classic setup where…[Ed] Here's a couple.[Ed] They're not married, but they've been together for a while.[Ed] Long while.[Ed] He's into the lifestyle.[Ed] She's not sure.[Ed] Not liked it.[Ed] Wasn't comfortable.[Ed] But there were some communication issues between the two of them,[Ed] and they hadn't connected.[Phoebe] Right.[Unknown] And later, when we…[Phoebe] As the date progresses, which we're going to get into,[Phoebe] we find out that she was into it.[Phoebe] They just hadn't talked about it.[Phoebe] So she's into it just as much as he.[Phoebe] But they didn't really have that honest communication.[Phoebe] Right.[Phoebe] Because I will tell you,[Phoebe] it is kind of scary when you really start to lay it out there and go,[Phoebe] you know, I like really, really like spaghetti.[Phoebe] And if you don't like it, then that's a deal breaker.[Phoebe] And you kind of have to…[Phoebe] That's kind of what you got to do.[Phoebe] And then…[Phoebe] Or negotiate.[Phoebe] Sure.[Phoebe] That, right?[Phoebe] And now, you know, the other person might say,[Phoebe] well, you know, I could learn to like spaghetti.[Phoebe] And that's okay if I have, you know, Chinese every now and then.[Phoebe] Kind of thing.[Phoebe] Yeah.[Unknown] You get the picture.[Phoebe] All right.[Phoebe] So, this is real.[Phoebe] She's back.[Phoebe] Okay.[Phoebe] So, Mrs. Reel and I are texting.[Phoebe] We have a FaceTime.[Phoebe] We're chatting.[Phoebe] She has a bunch of questions.[Phoebe] Yes.[Ed] And the reason you're having a FaceTime with her is…[Ed] Oh, yeah.[Ed] The whole them getting back together was partially the…[Ed] The enticement of playing with us again.[Phoebe] Yes![Ed] Which was, I mean, super flattering and very hot at this, you know,[Ed] all at the same time.[Ed] And it was like, actually, that's a…[Ed] That we felt safe is what it was.[Ed] Yeah.[Ed] We were comfortable.[Ed] And she was like, you know what?[Ed] If we're going to do this, if we're going to experiment,[Unknown] try the lifestyle again, I want to do it with them.[Unknown] Yeah.[Phoebe] So…[Phoebe] And they listened to some of our podcasts and that helped too.[Ed] Yeah.[Ed] I think it did.[Ed] And it was reassuring to go, oh my God, I'm not an alien.[Ed] This isn't weird.[Ed] Other people go through this.[Ed] We're not alone.[Unknown] Right.[Phoebe] Right.[Phoebe] Right.[Phoebe] So, it was super fun.[Phoebe] And I felt honored to support her and ask her questions.[Phoebe] And then, you know, of course, we, like I said,[Phoebe] we took the opportunity to find out what some of the rules are[Phoebe] and what their goals were.[Unknown] You know, what's the goal for…[Phoebe] What do you want to do?[Phoebe] …for an evening together, right?[Phoebe] And so, we discovered what some of that was,[Phoebe] some of the rules and some of the boundaries.[Phoebe] And then we discovered more of that later when we were in the jacuzzi.[Phoebe] Right.[Phoebe] So, the date is set.[Phoebe] So, her and I have great conversation, blah, blah, blah, blah.[Phoebe] We get a bunch of stuff worked out and it's all great.[Phoebe] Date is set.[Phoebe] We get already and we head to the house.[Phoebe] And what were we wearing?[Phoebe] I changed my outfits a couple times.[Ed] Oh, we were doing like, you know, jeans and a nice shirt.[Ed] It was pretty casual.[Phoebe] But mine was like a crop top low cut.[Ed] Oh, yours was fond.[Ed] Yeah, it was like a crisscross with a plunging backline.[Ed] All the cleavage.[Ed] Yeah.[Ed] All the cleavage going on.[Ed] I wore some tight jeans with no pants underneath, no underwear on.[Phoebe] You didn't have underwear?[Unknown] No.[Ed] I didn't know that.[Ed] But it flies with my little dangly going down the leg kind of thing.[Phoebe] Oh, and Mr. Real, he had…[Phoebe] He brought out his see-through black long…[Phoebe] They're like long underwear or…[Ed] They're like…[Ed] Boxer briefs.[Ed] They're like a see-through boxer brief.[Phoebe] Yes.[Phoebe] Oh, that's right.[Phoebe] You have the long pant version.[Phoebe] He had the boxer.[Phoebe] He looked very nice in those.[Phoebe] I did like those.[Ed] They're fun and sexy.[Phoebe] Yes.[Phoebe] And then Mr. Real, she had on a very skin tight, sexy dress.[Phoebe] What's nothing on underneath?[Phoebe] That's it.[Ed] Just a dress.[Ed] One layer of peel.[Unknown] Yep.[Ed] It's perfect.[Ed] Just like a baby I need it.[Phoebe] It's perfect.[Phoebe] I think I had more clothes than anybody.[Phoebe] I don't know what I was thinking.[Ed] So we get there.[Ed] Yes.[Ed] We, you know, do the huggy, kissy, greedy thing, you know, at the front door.[Ed] And…[Phoebe] The men decide to separate from the women.[Ed] Yes.[Ed] So the girls wanted to talk about some stuff and the guys wanted to talk about some stuff.[Ed] And so we kind of…[Ed] We did a little road trip.[Ed] I jumped into his sports car with him and we drove down to the local gas station.[Ed] He just had some improvements made.[Ed] Some work done on it and he wanted to test drive it.[Ed] So I got to sit in a really fast car.[Ed] It was awesome.[Ed] It was super visceral.[Ed] So you can imagine you're about to, you know, you're going fast.[Ed] You're, you know, working the equipment and you're thinking about all the adrenaline going.[Phoebe] You were used to the airplane but you just went up in the space shuttle basically.[Phoebe] Yeah.[Ed] And I ride motorcycles and so I'm used to speed.[Ed] But in a car, speed is such a different sensation.[Unknown] And…[Phoebe] How is it different?[Ed] Well, you've, you've got a box around you for the first part.[Ed] Right.[Ed] You're holding on on a motorcycle with your arms and legs and you can kind of grip the tank with your knees.[Ed] But that, that sensation of acceleration, you're very exposed on a motorcycle.[Ed] Mm-hmm.[Ed] And in a car, you're kind of in a box, although this was a convertible.[Ed] We had the top down.[Guest] Oh.[Ed] And yeah, this was, this was the fastest car I've ever been in.[Ed] And…[Unknown] It was fun.[Unknown] It was hot.[Ed] And it made me want to get one and realize that if I got one, I would probably die or kill myself.[Ed] Because I would drive it like it's supposed to be driven, which is, of course, not legal.[Ed] So there you go.[Ed] Right.[Ed] Yes.[Ed] I can neither confirm nor deny that we probably broke the speed limit.[Ed] Well, well, driving the car.[Ed] Of course.[Phoebe] Well, Ed is off having really good time.[Phoebe] I'm also having a great time with Miss Reel.[Phoebe] We are talking about all kinds of fun stuff.[Phoebe] There was a fair amount of trying to find logistics of the cushions for the outdoor furniture and stuff.[Phoebe] And I'm trying to get the fire pit lit.[Phoebe] But once that all happened, we were sitting in chat and talking about stuff and upcoming events[Phoebe] and, you know, kind of getting, you know, a little bit of housekeeping out of the way.[Phoebe] So to speak as to what we wanted to happen for the night.[Phoebe] So you guys came back.[Phoebe] We sat at the fire pit for, I don't know, not very long.[Unknown] It was a little bit longer than that, but yeah.[Phoebe] It felt like five seconds while I took an hour to get the thing lit.[Phoebe] But it was you guys were there for five seconds.[Phoebe] So yeah, that was worth it.[Ed] All that build up for.[Unknown] So there's that.[Phoebe] So, but the good part is we all decided to get naked and go to the jacuzzi.[Ed] I will take naked jacuzzi time over a fire pit.[Ed] Any day.[Ed] Every day.[Unknown] Yeah.[Phoebe] So off we went.[Phoebe] Which was great.[Phoebe] The lighting was great.[Phoebe] It was very intimate, private.[Phoebe] No one could see.[Phoebe] So we could just do whatever we wanted in there.[Phoebe] Right.[Phoebe] A lot of conversation happened in there.[Phoebe] Which was great.[Phoebe] Because we really got to know a little bit more about their dynamic and their journey[Phoebe] and how I loved listening to them and how communication got missed.[Phoebe] Yeah.[Ed] Yeah.[Ed] That they went the opposite directions and just kind of passed each other without even real.[Phoebe] He's going 80 or 125 and she's going 60.[Phoebe] And they wanted the same thing.[Phoebe] They were just a different.[Ed] And it's the stuff that we went through when we first got into it where it was like,[Unknown] if you don't say it, no one can read your mind.[Unknown] Right.[Ed] Which is hilarious because we were also watching an episode of Playboy's Swing.[Ed] Yes.[Ed] I think that's what it's called anyway.[Ed] And the woman in there was like, you should just know me.[Ed] You should just know how I'm feeling.[Ed] No one knows your feelings unless you verbalize them because ladies and gentlemen,[Ed] no one can read minds that's both a blessing and a curse that we can't read each other's minds.[Ed] Leave a little mystery.[Ed] But it does require to speak up and say what you mean.[Ed] And say what you want.[Ed] Exactly.[Unknown] And yeah.[Phoebe] But sometimes, yeah.[Phoebe] But sometimes, you know, you don't really feel safe or it's scary to say what you want[Phoebe] because you think that could really be like the end.[Phoebe] Oh yeah.[Unknown] If you say something, that feels very, very revealing or just like raw.[Ed] We had so many conversations when we first started with this.[Ed] This is how I'm feeling.[Ed] Like, I understand that you're, you're nervous about playing with other couples.[Ed] Just as an example, Phoebe was very nervous about watching me with another woman.[Ed] And I'm like, I'm okay if you get to play, but I don't for a little bit.[Unknown] Right.[Ed] That was a, like, that was an uncomfortable conversation to have because it was, you know,[Ed] me kind of giving something up and her kind of understanding that dynamic and how it was going to work out.[Ed] But you have to have those conversations.[Ed] You've got to go through that in order to get past it.[Ed] were talking about in the car about exercising the relationship.[Ed] If you just kind of stay the course and you don't push boundaries,[Ed] you don't go on a vacation together.[Ed] You'll never know what that stress is like in order to test your relationship.[Ed] Swinging is a really significant test of your relationship.[Ed] It will push your boundaries.[Ed] It will push your comfort.[Ed] And we learned that our relationship was much stronger after we started swinging[Ed] because we exercised it.[Ed] Right.[Ed] We tested it and it survived.[Ed] And so we tested a little bit more and it totally understood.[Phoebe] Right.[Phoebe] I mean, yes, could be.[Phoebe] But for us, no.[Phoebe] And that was my fear.[Phoebe] And so the gym analogy would be just because you like working out,[Phoebe] you go to the gym six days a week.[Phoebe] Doesn't mean you're going to be competing in bodybuilding competition.[Unknown] Right.[Phoebe] You may not want to do that.[Phoebe] You just may want to do it for yourself.[Phoebe] And that's good enough.[Phoebe] Or you may want to go compete and take it to that next level.[Ed] So I get what you, what you do with the workout is entirely up to you.[Ed] Exactly.[Ed] This, this episode is really fun because we started soft swap because it was comfortable.[Ed] And we knew what our boundaries were.[Ed] But we've progressed to full swap.[Ed] And actually now we're, we're not swinging back to full soft swap all the time.[Ed] Right.[Ed] But we've started to realize that we kind of like soft swap[Unknown] because of the fun stuff that happens in it.[Ed] So there you go.[Unknown] Yeah.[Ed] It's elastic.[Ed] You're constantly changing.[Ed] Right.[Phoebe] And as we're going to get into the bedroom time,[Phoebe] you'll kind of see how.[Phoebe] Wow.[Phoebe] Yeah.[Phoebe] So also let's get, let's get busy.[Phoebe] All right.[Unknown] So we're done with it.[Phoebe] We were touching, we were having, eventually we were touching and having sexy
