It's fun. Okay. Here are some fun facts about porn in[Ed] the United States. Now we I'm sure that there's some of these statistics that apply to other[Ed] places, but these specifically are about the United States. There are 37 new porn videos[Unknown] made every day, which I think is crazy because it should be 98 every day. And I was going to say[Ed] it's probably more than this. And I suspect that so in full disclosure, because I'm in a full[Ed] disclosure kind of mood after this week about a whole bunch of stuff. I know, head and feet[Ed] you're like, come out strong now. These statistics, a lot of them are based from porn addiction[Ed] statistics, right? So it's all from that angle of porn as a destructive force in our society.[Ed] And we must eradicate it. I personally don't believe that. I think, yes, there are definitely some[Ed] bad aspects of porn. And I'm sure there are people who get involved in the pornography[Ed] industry that are taken advantage of and all of those things, you know, but there's some good[Ed] porn out there too that they're doing it ethically and it's got good stories and people aren't[Ed] being coerced in it. I mean, right. There are sex workers who are now actually making decent[Unknown] living wages because they control their content and what they put out. And yeah, it's them, right?[Ed] Like they're just, they chose to do this. I mean, only fans is a, it's incredible for some[Ed] people to be able to produce their own stuff and make a living at it and not be taken advantage[Ed] of by the system. Exactly. Exactly. So box, slide that to the side. Let's get back to some funny[Ed] goofy statistics. Okay. 28,000 people are watching porn at any given moment. So right now,[Phoebe] there's 28,000 people watching porn. Yeah. I actually think some of these are low.[Ed] Low. So low to me. I'm like, what? Only 28,000? I can almost name 28,000 people who are probably[Ed] watching. No. 35% of all downloads on the internet are related to porn. So just over a third.[Ed] Yeah. So that's like a third of all the downloads on the internet. Still, I feel like it should be[Phoebe] more like 40, 45 almost. Yeah. But then you got like YouTube, which is a lot. And there's other[Ed] stuff too. And you can think of all the streaming services and new sites and things like that.[Ed] Okay. Okay. You start to factor it. And you're like, 35% still. That's a big chunk of. Yeah.[Ed] Cock coming through the internet. And vagina. Yeah. Of course. 87% of men aged 18 to 35 watch porn weekly.[Ed] Sounds sounds. Sounds accurate. Sounds accurate. Only 28.5% of women watch porn weekly. So you can[Ed] tell. Unlike the last episode where women are much more imagination. They want to picture[Unknown] themselves in that situation. And they can't picture themselves probably because most porn is[Ed] shot from the male perspective, which is a whole thing that we'll kind of talk about a little bit.[Ed] We're going to get into that. Yep. And I have an explanation for that too. Yes.[Ed] Some people can probably figure this out already. And then here are some sadder statistics or at[Ed] least some sadder facts about all of this sex education is largely left up to individuals to[Unknown] educate themselves. It's true. We live in a puritanical nation. Porn sexuality is highly suppressed[Ed] in our society. And as a result, things like sex education are generally not taught or they're[Ed] taught in such a cursory way because you don't want to inspire people to actually have sex.[Ed] You just want them to go have completely uneducated, unprotected sex because you know, that's much[Phoebe] better. They are much better at educating people to not have unprotected sex and to be in some[Phoebe] places, but not in all places. Really still? What? Where are we? Oh my goodness.[Ed] 100%. And this is probably the most unfortunate aspect of this. And that's most people,[Ed] at least people who are coming of age in this day and age, use porn as a primary source of education[Ed] about sex. And I think this has been largely true for decades. Yeah, magazines. Yeah. The playbook[Ed] magazine that your uncle had underneath, you know, his better dad had in the car. I was reading my[Phoebe] friend Diane's dad's collection at age, what age are you when you're in like second grade, second[Phoebe] third grade, second grade eight? You like eight. Yeah, it's like six or seven. Yeah, that was my[Ed] first porn, that was my first playboy magazine. Wow. And I loved going over to her house.[Phoebe] Naked. She was like, I'm already seeing all these. And so here's just a little[Phoebe] story. A porn history here. It was down in the basement and he had in this entire dresser and it was[Phoebe] a huge dresser. Oh yeah, yeah. So it was about the dresser, you know, it was about four or five[Phoebe] feet tall, it was about waist high, right? And it had six drawers that pulled out and they were[Phoebe] full, full of playboy magazines, stacks. My god, he must have had over a thousand magazines. Oh[Ed] yeah, it's it's probably like, I mean, I probably had a subscription. Oh yeah, it was amazing. And I[Phoebe] loved going down in her basement and just looking through all these. And she wanted to play with[Phoebe] me. She wanted to do something fun because she'd already looked through all these. She already[Phoebe] seen all this stuff. She's like, it was old hat to her. It was like no big deal. I'm like, I don't[Phoebe] have these. I need to see this. She had all the cool stuff. Diane had the great stuff. She's the[Phoebe] one who had the hamster. She, her dad had the playboys. Of course, they had all the fun foods,[Phoebe] right? They had the soda and the wonder bread, all the bad shit that gives you cancer that we didn't[Phoebe] have. Right. Of course, I loved going over her house to eat all the bad food because it was fun.[Ed] And didn't she have one of the old school like giant satellite dishes? Oh, that was the other[Phoebe] friend of Veronica who had the old, yes, it was, you know, the size of house, small car,[Phoebe] everything including the porn channel. And so same thing happened in high school. I'm over at her[Phoebe] house watching all the porn. And she's like, come on. Let's go do something fun. I'm like,[Phoebe] you're like, go away. I'm busy. You have porn for free. I can watch you here and you're living[Unknown] room. I'm not going anywhere. So she should get mad at me. I personally don't see the attraction,[Ed] but it was so great. Okay. So here's the last statistic before we get into the meat of the show.[Ed] The porn industries and this one was fascinating. The porn industries annual revenue is more than[Unknown] the NFL NBA and MLB combined. It is also more than the combined revenues of ABC, CBS and NBC.[Ed] So if you, clearly it's a very lucrative business, people seem to be very horny and[Phoebe] they're making money. And I will tell you based on a conversation at our local[Phoebe] nudist resort from a woman who rakes in a cool 10 grand a month that there is no shortage of money[Phoebe] to be had for any sex worker out there on chatterbait, only fans, etc. I was fascinated by her[Phoebe] the amount of information she decided to share with us for three to four hours on this topic.[Ed] Amazingly educational like we learned so much so much the ins and outs how to set up the business[Phoebe] of the support network this and that and the other thing the security protocols blah, blah, blah, blah,[Phoebe] blah, blah, blah, blah, blah and the money, my God, $10,000. Well, and the critical thing to kind of[Ed] derive from the the last statistic and this story is there's something for everybody out there.[Ed] So if you have a niche, if you have a particular king or fetish or whatever you want to call it,[Ed] somebody's making material content for that. And so if you take everybody's kinks and you[Ed] add them all up, that's why this business is so big. I think that was Bos, Bos Lerman,[Ed] something for everyone. There's something for everyone. And we have found that in the lifestyle too.[Ed] Like, you know, everybody has body image issues. Like the burglar breaks into your house. And of course, you just have[Ed] to have sex with them. Right. Well, that makes sense. Right. And these porn sites, the ones that are very women-focused[Phoebe] are shot from a different angle. Right. So let's talk about that briefly because I prefer this[Phoebe] much more than I prefer the the pornos, let's say, red tube, right? Where is very male-focused?[Phoebe] From the male's perspective, and I had explained this to me about two years ago, and the[Phoebe] light bulb went off, and it totally made sense, that I said, why is it that some of this porn,[Unknown] you never see the guy's face ever? And you see the whole woman, you don't see the guy,[Phoebe] and it's from like, you know, you don't see all of them, you don't see two bodies,[Ed] and he said, because it's mostly shot for men, because men are the predominant consumers of porn,[Ed] and men want to picture themselves in that situation. So that porn does that for men, whereas the[Phoebe] audio porn does that for women, where they can be the star in the show. It would be interesting to talk to some people[Ed] at PCAP who are who are Australian and see if they have any kind of, you know, association with that[Ed] or know anything better or what the history was with that with the Australian. I love how my mind[Phoebe] automatically goes to cowboy boots and just nakedness when you say girls out west. I just think[Ed] naked cowboy boots. Yeah. Some of my favorite like classic cheesy porn is cowboys and boots[Unknown] and water and trots and hay bales and that stuff. Yeah. Rolls in the hay. Okay. So the last two.[Ed] And I'm going to lump them together because they're really similar. They're a little bit more[Ed] traditional in the the kind of the classic sense of porn because I'm pretty sure that they're all[Ed] paid actors and actresses. I don't I don't know for sure. But the production quality the visuals[Ed] on these are really, really good. So it's definitely a professional film crew. They they they[Unknown] have a really good eye for lighting and composition and and I'll say this it doesn't look scripted.[Ed] Feels very natural. Yes. But it's produced to a quality level. We're being an an artist and a[Ed] producer of like commercial content myself. I know that someone scripted that. But they did a[Ed] really good job on it because it looks natural, which means it's it's twice as hard to shoot.[Ed] Hmm. Because you to make something look easy to look natural. Like you. Yes. You watch the[Ed] Olympics. Right. Right. And you watch people who do something and it's like effortless. Right.[Ed] Like yes. Like ballet. It's effortless because they spent thousands of hours, tens of thousands[Phoebe] of hours practicing that over and over again. So anyway. Uh-huh. Oh. This these films are really[Ed] well shot. The lighting is super um bright. Soft. Soft lighting. Um it's it's very white and[Ed] clear and pure. But it's not like start like bright. It's just it's cozy. It's almost fuzzy. Yeah.[Phoebe] This is this these are my favorites because of the whiteness. Yeah. Like the linens are white.[Phoebe] The walls are white. The pillows are white. It's a blank canvas. But it's not hospital.[Phoebe] It's not right. Steril. It's not cold. It's still warm and cozy. I don't know how they do it.[Phoebe] And there that's the bodies just stand out. Yeah. Yeah. It's phenomenal. And the bodies don't look[Ed] weird. It's just yeah. They're they're very natural looking people. Um that there's there's not a lot of[Ed] like really large fake boobs. Um that they're all what looks like normal proportioned people doing[Ed] sexy things together. Yeah. Um it's very sensual. It's very artistic. It's very erotic. But[Phoebe] but they genuinely look like they are into each other. We haven't said what they the two[Phoebe] sites are. So let's go. Okay. We've been teasing them. So into the visuals. Right.[Ed] It's a site called x-art and another one called wow girls. Um and you know check them out. You[Ed] can see a lot of their stuff on porn hub and a lot of other places. They'll put teasers out. So[Ed] if you want to kind of preview what they're like. Um it's it's really nice and it looks very natural.[Ed] It looks very real. It does. But but still very high high production value and less home movie[Ed] or like more like you know professional porn but not at the same time. Yes. Yes. Love.[Phoebe] Yeah. We've enjoyed those films. I know. All right Ed.
